Important changes to customs regulations for shipments to Uzbekistan starting February 2026

Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you about changes to the customs regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will come into effect on February 8, 2026, in accordance with Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 700 dated November 6, 2025.

Due to the implementation of new automated parcel scanning systems at customs, recommended requirements for shipments have been established, and the parcel receipt confirmation procedure has been updated.

Parcel size requirements

  • Minimum size: 320 × 320 × 150 mm (12.6 × 12.6 × 5.9 inches)
  • Maximum size: 800 × 600 × 600 mm (31.5 × 23.6 × 23.6 inches)

Parcels of smaller size will be subject to manual inspection, which may affect customs inspection and clearance timelines.

Parcel weight requirements

  • The maximum allowable parcel weight is up to 30 kg (66 lbs).
  • Exceeding the 30 kg limit is prohibited. Parcels exceeding this weight will be subject to customs duties.
  • Discrepancies between the weight stated in the documents and the actual parcel weight are not permitted. If significant discrepancies are identified, the shipment will be directed to the red customs control zone.

Notifications to recipients

  • Under the new regulations, recipients will automatically receive notifications about the arrival of courier parcels addressed in their name.
  • Notifications will be sent to the personal account in the Unified Republican Information System EPIGU (My.gov.uz), as well as to the customs mobile application E-TIJORAT.

Actions in case of parcel detention at customs

  • If a parcel is detained for any reason (exceeding the duty-free limit of USD 200 per month, exceeding the 30 kg weight limit, exceeding size limits, or for other reasons), the recipient must, within 10 days, confirm that the parcel is addressed to them and confirm readiness to receive it with payment of the required customs duties, or refuse receipt.
  • If the recipient refuses the parcel or does not respond within 10 days, the shipment is considered unclaimed by the recipient.
  • In such cases, the parcel is subject to return to the sender within 30 days from the date of detention. If the return is not completed, customs authorities will, within the following 15 days, submit the information to the court to recognize the property as ownerless and transfer it to state ownership.
  • Please note that starting February 2026, recipients will regularly receive notifications in the EPIGU system and the E-TIJORAT mobile application, which will require mandatory confirmation or refusal of the parcel.

We recommend checking access to your personal accounts in advance and carefully monitoring notifications.
