Warehouse Operations Manager

Role Summary:
In this leadership position, the Warehouse Operations Manager will play a vital role in the overall success of Meest warehouse operations by leading employee activity to achieve performance goals. You will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations while coaching, mentoring, and directing supervisors and associates to hit key KPIs. You will also be responsible for assisting with managing the operation’s P&L and focusing on process improvements. Additionally, you will ensure safety in the warehouse, including being a champion of OSHA compliance and appropriate reporting.
Warehouse Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), TSA, and other pertinent standards/regulations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Meest’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
- Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure operational commitments are met.
- Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel development, quality and safety.
- Assist HR with recruiting efforts.
- Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
- Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
- Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
- Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
Warehouse Operations Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, logistics or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
- Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of financial management.
- Excellent communication skills, knowledge of Ukrainian language is a plus.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues
- Timely answers to all written appeals of clients and agents (mail, tickets)
- Working within and complying with occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure own safety and that of others
- Promptly informs supervisor of potential issues or customer concerns
- Understand the needs of the customers and ensure that they are properly met
- Utilize established policies, procedures, systems and tools to assure the maximum contribution
Skills:
- Good customer service and excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge in Microsoft Suites
- Must have the ability to handle high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls and prioritize effectively
- Track customer packages and give updates
- Native in English and Polish is a must
