
Transport your car, truck or vehicle from the U.S. with Meest-America, Inc.
To ship a vehicle, we need to obtain the following information:
- Model
- Year
- Value of the vehicle
- Engine size
- Point of origin and final destination
Please be aware that all vehicles shipped outside of the U.S. must be 100% owned by the shipper and cannot currently be under lease, loan or have a lien on it.
When shipping any vehicle, the client must submit original copies of the following documents:
- Original Title
- Bill of Sale or Declaration of Value
- Power of Attorney for Car Shipment
- Passport or picture ID
For customs clearance, the recipient must present the following documents:
- Original Title
- Bill of Sale or Declaration of Value
- Notarized Deed of Grant /Gift (if any)
- Tax ID (if company) or Social Security Number (if private)
Customs clearance and vehicle registration are the sole responsibility of the recipient; however, our shipping department can provide assistance in some destinations. We can also provide contact information for the customs broker in Ukraine.
Additional information:
- When shipping your vehicle overseas, Meest-America submits all export paperwork to US Customs for you.
- The vehicle may be insured for shipping at the rate of 2.5% of its value.
- Due to safety regulations, your vehicle’s fuel tank must contain less than 1/8 of a tank fuel but enough fuel for delivery, loading, discharge, and reaching a gas station after pick-up.
- If the sender and the recipient are different persons, then a deed of grant/gift certified by the consulate or a notary public will be required.
- In most cases, you can store approved personal items in the vehicle when shipping your car in a container, but proper declaration of all items is required.
- When cargo arrives to the destination, port and unloading fees will be charged there. Amounts depend on the destination country.
We accept different forms of payment: cash, bank checks, wire transfers, credit cards (2.7% fees apply to domestics credit card transactions and 5.5% on international).
